We can’t wait to celebrate with you in New Orleans!

Our masquerade wedding will be a night of elegance, mystery, and love in the heart of the French Quarter. To help you prepare for the big day, we’ve gathered answers to some common questions below.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: Dress to impress in "all black" formal attire. A mask is your invitation into the masquerade where elegance meets intrigue, and every guest plays a part in the magic.

(Gentlemen may pair their black attire with a classic white dress shirt for a refined touch.)

Q: Should I bring my mask?

A: Absolutely! Masks are part of the magic of the evening.

Q: Am I allowed a plus-one?

A: If your invitation is addressed to you and a guest, then yes—your plus-one is warmly invited! Otherwise, we’re keeping the guest list intimate and kindly request you attend solo.

Q: Are children invited?

A: While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to raise a glass with you!

Q: Where do I RSVP?

A: RSVP through our wedding website or by scanning the QR code included with your invitation.

Q: When and where is the wedding?

A: Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the NOPSI Hotel, New Orleans.

Q: Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

A: The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors at the NOPSI Hotel — no need to worry about the weather!

Q: What happens after the ceremony?

A: After the ceremony, guests will enjoy cocktail hour followed by dinner, dancing, and celebration at the reception.

Q: Where should I stay?

A: We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the NOPSI Hotel, making it simple to stay close to the celebration. See the Travel page for booking details.

Q: Are you registered anywhere or can I bring a gift?

A: We’re not registered anywhere, as we’ll be traveling for our wedding and wish to keep things simple. Your love and presence are the greatest gifts! While cards are welcomed, we kindly ask that no physical gifts be brought to the venue. If you wish to give something, contributions to our Happily Ever After Fund would mean the world to us. Details can be found on our wedding website.

Q: Will there be a wedding hashtag?

A: Absolutely! Use #MeetTheMackins so we can see all your photos and videos.

Q: What’s the best way to get around New Orleans?

A: The hotel is centrally located near the French Quarter. Most attractions are walkable, and rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft are reliable. The streetcar is also a fun way to explore.

Q: What will the weather be like?

A: Early April in New Orleans is typically warm and pleasant, with highs in the 70s–80s °F—perfect for strolling the French Quarter or enjoying the rooftop pool between festivities.

Q: If I have questions, who should I reach out to?

A: Please refer to our wedding website for additional information and updates leading up to the big day.
